Daily Personal Care Support

Providing respectful, professional one-on-one personal care assisting with daily hygiene, grooming, and morning routines.

We match support to your routine, so you stay in control

Getting help with showering, dressing, or getting out of bed requires real trust — in the person, in their training, and in the organisation behind them. We don't take that lightly.

Before anyone comes into your home, we match on more than availability. We consider your preferences, your communication style, your routine, and your comfort. The goal is a support worker who fits into your day, not one you have to manage

Personal care support we provide

Morning and evening routines

Getting in and out of bed safely, managing your routine at the start and end of the day, structured around your schedule, not ours.

Showering and hygiene

Respectful assistance with bathing, grooming, and oral care. Delivered with dignity and discretion, every time.

Dressing and appearance

Help choosing outfits and getting dressed. Your preferences, your style, we assist, we don't decide.

Toileting and continence

Discreet, professional support managed with complete respect for your privacy.

Mealtime assistance

Safe support with eating and drinking, including for participants with mealtime management plans.

Overnight support

A qualified carer present through the night for participants who need monitoring or assistance after hours.

What to expect before your care starts

Personal care requires more preparation than most supports. Before your first visit:

  • We review your support plan and any relevant documentations
  • We confirm your preferences, how you like things done, what matters to you, what hasn't worked before
  • We match you with a primary and secondary support worker based on your needs and personality, not just availability
  • You meet your worker before support begins. No surprises at the door.
  • How to get started

    FAQ's

    Common questions

Most frequently asked questions about our Daily Personal Care Activities service

What does daily personal care funding cover?

Daily personal care sits under registration group 0107, Assistance with Daily Personal Activities, within your Core Supports budget. It covers assistance with your everyday personal routine: showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, mealtime support, and getting in and out of bed. If your needs are clinical or high-intensity, that sits under a separate registration group — our team can help you identify which applies to you.

Can the same worker help with personal care and other supports in the same day?

Yes, where your plan allows. A support worker can assist with your morning routine and then accompany you to a community activity or appointment under a different funding line. We coordinate this so you're not managing multiple workers across a single day.

What if I need support at an unusual time, very early morning or late at night?

We work around your schedule. Early morning, evening, and overnight support are all available. Tell us your timing requirements when you enquire and we'll confirm what's possible.

What happens if my support worker is sick or unavailable?

We contact you directly, you'll never find out when no one arrives. For personal care, we treat cover as urgent. Where possible we send your secondary worker, someone already matched to your routine. If that's not possible, we notify you with enough notice to make alternative arrangements.

Is overnight support the same as a sleepover shift?

No. We provide wakeful overnight support, a carer who is present and alert through the night, not asleep. For participants who need monitoring or assistance overnight, a sleepover arrangement is not appropriate. We are clear about this distinction upfront.

What if I have a Behaviour Support Plan?

Your personal care worker is briefed on your strategies before the first visit. We work with your behaviour support practitioner to ensure personal care is delivered in a way that's consistent with your plan and as calm and comfortable as possible.

Do I need to provide equipment?

Equipment such as hoists, shower chairs, and continence products are generally the participant's responsibility under their NDIS plan. We work with whatever is in place and will flag anything that may need to be reviewed for safety.
